AFRICAN MINDSET CONTINUED May 30, 2008

Somali refugees are apparently selling food aid they have received from Good Samaritans, while at the same time refusing to allow their women and children to eat or receive medical assistance.

Refugees from Angola and the Democratic Republic of Congo told the Pretoria News that when they went to fetch their remaining belongings from the old camp where the Somalis were still camped out, they were offered rice for R20 a plate and apples for R5 each.

While Somali leaders prevented their women and children from receiving food and medicine throughout Thursday, several of the leaders were spotted eating food from Chicken Licken bags.

AFRICAN MINDSET May 29, 2008

Somalian people who have been victims of xenophobic attacks in South Africa have now given me another great opportunity to show non-Africans how strange the African mindset can be.

Somalians in a refugee facility in South Africa have refused aid from the South African government and will only accept aid from United Nations. When South African aid workers arrived at their facility with clothes, food, medicine, etc they were turned away and sent back from where they came from with the goods they brought with them.

Now imagine, you are in dire straights and your children are suffering, people go through a lot of effort to obtain aid for you, even delivers it to your doorstep for free and what do you do? You chase them away! Beyond understanding!

To make matters worse, there are other nationalities in the same facility crying out for food, blankets, clothing, medicine, etc and the Somalians put up blockades to stop help arriving for them without their permission so everyone in that facility receives no aid unless it comes from the UN. Makes no sense!

I have lived in Africa all my life and I can now say I don’t understand this at all.

SPRINGBOK RUGBY OFF TO A NEW START! May 28, 2008

As the current Rugby World Cup champions we have a new challenge to face over the next few months to see how our new coach takes our team forward.

He has a hard act to follow as Jake White was a very inspirational coach and had a wonderful relationship with the team.

We will watch with great interest when our boys in “green and gold” run out onto the park against Wales and Italy and wish them well in their endeavours on and off the field as they are role models for our young people.

I hope the return of John Smit and the other “older” boks will inspire the team to play well and start our new season off with a winning spirit! Go Bokke!!

FUEL PRICES GOING UP AGAIN! May 27, 2008

Our petrol price will be going up again in June and there seems to be no relief for us in the short term! I just wonder when it is going to hit a level where there will be total resistance to the price and cause the general public to boycott petrol stations.

I notice that some sections of users in the UK have had a protest march today urging their government to halt the price increases.

It is sad to see that the countries who do have oil fields are holding the world to ransom!

It is imperative that our government urgently starts implementing strategies to harness our natural resources to make alternative fuels.

On Carte Blanche I saw that people are using human and animal waste to produce fuel and I think I can safely say that we have enough of that in our country to turn into fuel instead of allowing it to pollute our rivers and dams.

TROTS AFRIKAANS 2 May 26, 2008

XENOPHOBIA BLAMED ON APARTHEID May 23, 2008

Apartheid has taken the blame for many problems in South Africa, but I think this one is really a stretch.

Why would the black people commit black on black violence in South Africa to help right-wing whites to take over the country? They are targeting “foreigners,” black people from other African countries, why would the right wing whites be behind this? What benefit would come from it to the whites in the country? In fact the whites could be caught in the middle of this and suffer as a result of the instability it causes.

If this violence was, say, between Zulu and Tswana or Xhoza and Sotho then I might have taken a different view of the situation. The violence is against “foreign” blacks, Chinese and Indians, not white South Africans.

Read the news report here:

http://uk.news.yahoo.com/rtrs/20080523/tts-uk-safrica-violence-92f7720.html

Now if we want to talk about what the blacks are planning against the whites then we do not have to look to far. For many years now we have heard of the planned “Uhuru” attack against white Africans when Nelson Mandela dies, it is also called “The night of the long knives”.

I am not going to rehash the whole story here again, if you are interested to learn more about it there are many references to it on the web, to start you off go to:

HANDS OFF!! May 22, 2008

Here is a joke which I found funny, I hope you do too.

Old Oom (Uncle) Jan was very sick and was basically lying on his death bed at home and all the family where already starting to gather for the expected death. His wife Tant (Aunt) Sannie, trying to keep herself occupied and her mind off her problems, was in the kitchen preparing all the nice cakes, koeksisters (type of sweet very well liked by the Afrikaners), milktarts, etc for the “wake” after the expected funeral.

All the lovely smells coming through from the kitchen to the dying man’s bedroom was so tantalising that he could not resist. He got up out of bed and slowly made his way to the kitchen. With great anticipation he reached out to pick up a koeksister……….. Tant Sannie rushed over, slapped him on his hand and said: “Hands off, that is for the funeral!”

WARNING TO MOZAMBIQUE TOURISTS May 21, 2008

Warning to would be tourists intending to travel through Mozambique by vehicle this is serious so take note.

Some people cannot afford to bury their dead in Mozambique so they have resorted to very scary tactics to get their dead buried.

What they do is they take the body of a dead relative to the side of the road and hide in the bushes and when they see an unsuspecting tourist in a vehicle coming towards them they toss the body in front of the vehicle at the very last moment, causing the vehicle to drive over the body. When the person stops they are accused of killing their relative and there being no way to prove otherwise the tourist is held responsible and accountable for the loss of life.

They have to then arrange to transport all the family members from miles away to the victims residence and have to pay all the costs for travelling, supply food and pay for accommodation and bare the full costs of the funeral, coffin, etc. The whole procedure can take between 1 and 2 weeks to complete.

This is a very scary position to be in because if you do not cooperate you can be charged with manslaughter and spend jail time in a very bad prison environment in Africa.

I do not know what advice to give here, will it help just to continue driving on as if you did not see, hear or feel that you have driven over a person and allow them to catch the next tourist? I don’t know! You stand no chance of winning if you do stop as the police are corrupt and biased towards the local people.

THABO MBEKI HAS OSTRICH SYNDROME May 20, 2008

I sometimes wonder if Mr Mbeki actually lives in South Africa. He makes such strange statements sometimes that one can only think that he has “Ostrich syndrome”.

With HIV / AIDS he actually publicly stated that he did not know anyone who had HIV /AIDS and that was when many thousands of people were dying in this country.

Now he states that xenophobia is a syndrome not a phobia and that he does not personally know anybody with xenophobia. He asks: “What is xeno? There is no such thing.”

He also stated the following: “This makes me wonder whether in fact “xeno” isn’t perhaps some sort of racist codeword for an African. I ask you. Just because there is an X in front of a word, does that make it automatically African?”

Read more about this at:

http://www.hayibo.com/articles/view/780

I would also like to advise that when I googled “xeno” that within one minute I found the following link which gives a clear definition of xeno and Mr Mbeki stated in his interview that he had made an “exhaustive research on the internet”:

I think our ostriches know more about the country than Mr Mbeki.

XENOPHOBIA IN SOUTH AFRICA May 19, 2008

How quickly can things get out of hand in Africa? Overnight it seems!

In this blog I have been trying to inform non-South Africans on the mindset of blacks in Africa so that when they see news like this they can see how difficult it is to predict what blacks will do.

When the Zimbabwean refugees started streaming into our country by the 100’s, various aid organizations and NGO’s asked the Government to set up refugee camps to keep the Zimbabweans in a controlled environment. Did the government listen? No! They said: “We must open our arms to our fellow Africans who are in distress.”

As the saying goes: “You reap what you sew.”

You cannot reason with unreasonable people. The black South Africans believe that the foreigners are taking their jobs, housing, etc. and instead of negotiating and communicating with the authorities, they take matters into their own hands by killing and maiming these people who are also blacks in great distress about what is happening to them, their families and their country. As I said in a previous post, blacks do not have compassion for blacks, life is cheap.

Where is this going to end? No one knows because you cannot predict what they will do when their emotions run high, all I know is that many more people will die a senseless death.
