FOUNDING PROVISIONS - SA CONSTITUTION May 18, 2008

Chapter 1.1 of our Constitution states the following:

1. Republic of South Africa.- The Republic of South Africa is one, sovereign, democratic state founded on the following values:-

(a) Human dignity, the achievement of equality and the advancement of human rights and freedoms.

(b) Non-racialism and non-sexism.

(c) Supremacy of the constitution and the rule of law.

(d) Universal adult suffrage, a national common voters roll, regular elections and a multi-party system of democratic government, to ensure accountability, responsiveness and openness.

Once again we see that when our Constitution was written it was intended that the “New” South Africa would treat every individual equally and that there would be no difference between the various race groups in the country.

I agree that the previously disadvantaged individuals had to be uplifted and various projects were instituted to do so, but somewhere along the line we have seen reverse “apartheid” creeping in where it is nearly impossible for white South Africans to be gainfully employed.

Our young white males especially have to find a living for themselves overseas, which is not right. We are losing young engineers, doctors, etc. because of the policy of the country regarding employment of whites.

I saw the other day that there are 88,000 vacancies in Government departments that cannot be filled. Why? Because they cannot find skilled “black” South Africans and will not employ the skilled whites.

CHINA IGNORED NATURES WARNING May 16, 2008

It is always interesting to see how scientists react to warnings they receive from nature about forthcoming disasters, or should I rather say, how they don’t react!

You may remember that the animals behaved erratically when the tsunami was on the way to the Indonesian Islands. Apparently the same thing happened just before the Chinese earthquake and the scientists who said it was nothing were killed in the quake.

Read what happened before the earthquake struck by going to this link:

Over 2950 farm murders have taken place in South Africa since 1991 which is horrifying in that most of these are really brutal and aimed at maximum pain and suffering for those being murdered. Is this “Boer” genocide going to be allowed to continue to happen by the government and police of our country?

The white farmers are being targeted and if you would like to read more about it please go to:

TROTS AFRIKAANS ! May 13, 2008

Although the heading is in Afrikaans I am going to write this post in English so that more South Africans can understand its contents.

It saddens me very much when I hear how the Afrikaans language has been bastardised by Afrikaners who say that they are “Proudly Afrikaans.”

When you listen to them speaking they can hardly complete a sentence without using an “English” word or phrase in it. Why? Pure laziness! If you are proudly Afrikaans you should speak the pure language.

Next time you watch television and you see the following people being interviewed listen carefully:

1) Rassie Erasmus, the Stormers rugby coach, in every sentence he uses “English” words and he is an Afrikaner. Now what amazed me is that when they interviewed Dick Muir, the sharks rugby coach, he spoke fluent Afrikaans without a word of English and I am sure his first language is English. Well done Dick Muir what a wonderful example!

2) Steve Hofmeyr our most popular Afrikaans singer, wow! His songs, his interviews, his chat shows, everything he says and does has this bastardised language, what a shame, he should be an example to all the Afrikaners!

3) Most of our South African artist are just as guilty as Steve, I have heard all of the following doing exactly the same: Patricia Lewis, Jannie Moolman, Theuns Jordaan, Nicholis Louw, Dozi, I can go on and on here, one example of this is that they all use the word “song” instead of “lied”.

The one well known person in this country who truly shows that he is proud to be Afrikaans is Nikki van den Berg a presenter on Radio Sonder Grense (RSG), I have never heard him bastardise Afrikaans, in fact he goes out of his way to use different Afrikaans words from the norm to try and educate the Afrikaner Nation. We can all learn from him and follow his example.

I know that every language does sometimes adopt words from other language groups, for example the Afrikaans word “lekker” is used by our English-speaking people because it is such a descriptive word, but they certainly do not bastardise there language by using an Afrikaans word in every sentence.

I am challenging the Afrikaners to clean up their act and start speaking Afrikaans properly and I am challenging the artists in this country to stop using English words in their Afrikaans songs, their interviews, their stage performances and their daily lives.

Let us help each other by correcting each other when we hear someone using an English word, it can be done if we all work together at it.

HIGH PRIVATE ELECTRICITY COSTS IN SA May 12, 2008

I was watching “Fokus” on SABC TV2 last night and was astounded by a documentary aired by Freek Robertson on the rates various sectors of Eskom’s customers are paying!

Apparently our mines, general big industrial and manufacturing companies and all the neighbouring countries are paying a mere 11c per unit of electricity and Eskom’s percentage profit earnings from these sources are only 5%.

So guess who is paying the exorbitantly high rates to make up the remaining 95%? The general public, you and I !!!

We are paying approximately 45c per unit of electricity.

The South African public are being placed under such a big strain financially, something must give somewhere and the result will be disastrous for the country.

AMERICA’S PRESIDENTIAL RACE May 11, 2008

As a South African I am facinated by the amount of US$ being spent by Clinton and Obama in order to become the nominee for their party. It is absolutely staggering that so much money can be spent when there is so much hardship in their country.

I know that some of the money they are spending goes back into the community, but surely thought must be given to how much is going waste.

Their country is being ravaged by storms, tornado’s, floods, etc and many people are destitute and the two nominees are still asking for donations from the public!

The outside world is looking at this and I am sure many think the same as I am thinking! Is it all worth it in the end?

OUR GENERATION IS LIVING IN THE END TIME May 10, 2008

In the bible in Matthew chapter 24 God through Christ tells the disciples how to recognize the end times, read for yourselves:

“Mat 24:6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all [these things] must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

Mat 24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

Mat 24:8 All these [are] the beginning of sorrows.”

But then He says something strange:

“Mat 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”

God is going to reveal Himself mightily through an awesome miracle and then the “Gospel of the Kingdom of God” is going to be preached in all the world for a witness to all the nations and when ALL have heard, then will the end come.

With modern technology all the nations can hear news instantly through CNN, Sky News, etc and it will take a bit longer to reach the remote areas, but in a very short time ALL the nations can hear the message of the Gospel of the Kingdom of God.

Think about it! Wars, famines, pestilences, earthquakes and all the other disasters happening all over the planet!

Get your life right while you have time!

PREAMBLE TO THE SOUTH AFRICAN CONSTITUTION May 9, 2008

I have copied the preamble to our constitution and show it below and if we look back to 1996 what a wonderful promise this held for ALL South Africans!

It is such a shame that the Government failed to make this a FACT in South Africa. Read the contents and then look at the news and newspapers; talk to the people and see if they think that the contents of the preamble have been achieved.

This is only the “preamble” what about the rest of the Constitution?

From time to time I will post other excerpts and see how we faired with them.

I would welcome comments on this!
