Dana Winner the international singer from Belgium has been accepted into the hearts of her South African audience with her wonderful voice and the way she interacts with her “Afrikaans” audience by singing Afrikaans songs with that accent that makes the well known Afrikaans songs so differnet.
She sang the popular Afrikaans song “Sproetjies” on Sweekslag the other night with such wonderful insight into the words and message of the song with that cute accent, it made you want to run out and go and look for a CD of hers which features other Afrikaans songs!
Hugo Foets her International agent for her Platinum Tour in South Africa in March 2008 said: “We were requested to bring Ms Winner as close as possible to the people of South Africa by adding smaller towns such as Kimberley, East London, Grahamstown, Klerksdorp, Potchefstroom, etc. to her itinerary.
